Fencing has been an Olympic event since 1896, the first modern games. Our fencing class will consist of two of the three fencing blades, foil and saber. The class teaches discipline, teamwork, stamina, hand-eye coordination, and good sportsmanship. The art of fencing is the world's fastest marshal art. Students must wear sneakers, long sweatpants and a t-shirt. All other equipment is provided. Instruction provided by Olympic Fencer Jun Liang-Smith and Virginia Division Coach Charles Smith.
