Hello LAES parents. We are less than two days away from our first in-person 5K race since we went virtual, 3 years ago. We still need more volunteers for this event! With the W&OD trail being shared with cyclists and other runners, we must have a sufficient number of race marshals to ensure runners’ safety. At this time, we still need 10 more race marshals.
No prior experience is needed. Race marshals will be stationed throughout the course, especially around the areas where our runners enter, turn around, and exit the W&OD for helping with directing traffic flow and runner pacing. The race director will meet with race marshals at 7:30 am on event day to help provide guidance and/or answer additional questions. If possible, please wear highly visible colors (e.g. yellow/orange) during race day.
Anyone can help, including friends, neighbors, current LAES alumni, and staff. Please help us make this event a big success.
