Final Call for Yearbook Covers – Deadline December 8th

For all those budding artists out there, this is the final call for yearbook covers. Don’t miss out this opportunity to have your artwork featured in this year’s yearbook. The cover theme for this year is Whatever Good Things We Build End Up Building Us – You Matter!

Original hardcopy & digital artwork covers are to be turned into the Front Office by end of day Friday, December 8th.

Please see our webpage for details.

If you have any questions, please email the Yearbook Committee.

Still Collecting!

Our food drive continues for another week to provide food for families over winter break. There are bins in the foyer (Door 10) where Kiss & Ride students enter and exit. If you are able to assist us, please send your student in with the donations at arrival time. If you are unable to do that, you may drop them off in the main office.

  • Get a hard copy of the newspaper to bring home!
  • Write (or draw!) about anything!
  • Share something new and exciting!
  • Improve your writing skills while having fun!

Students can write about school/class activities, vacations, local events, sports coverage, travel/book/movie/music/art reviews, interviews, puzzles, Spanish-language columns, poetry, cartoons, advice columns–all ideas are welcome!

Submissions for the first paper are due on January 29th. Kids should have their parents send a short story, poem, artwork, recipes, reviews, etc. (one item per child).

2023 Holiday Cookie Carry

The 2023 Holiday Cookie Carry is Monday, December 11th, and we need your help! This is a great opportunity to spread some holiday cheer and show your appreciation to the wonderful teachers and staff of Louise Archer.

Please share a batch (or two) of your favorite cookies or baked goods to be displayed in both teacher’s lounges on the morning of Monday, December 11th. The teachers and staff will be able to enjoy the treats during the day, and bring home any leftovers. All goodies are welcome! If you are not a baker, store bought items are also welcome and appreciated.

If you plan on participating in the 2023 Holiday Cookie Carry, please sign-up. There is more information in the SUG.

Any questions, please contact Lauren Padgett.

Giving Tuesday

You’ve heard about #BlackFriday and #CyberMonday, but what about #Giving Tuesday?

In this season of gratitude and giving, you can be the change for our nation’s children. You empower every child’s future and invest in our student’s well-being across the country when you make a gift this Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28. PTA is #HerefortheKids, and we know you are too. Please visit PTA.org/Give or, for a direct donation, LouiseArcherPTA.org to join/donate.

Take advantage of your employee match program this year and every year. Don’t leave money on the table when it comes to supporting our students.

Also, don’t forget to ask if they allow employees to volunteer their time with local charities. Some companies offer paid time off to staff when they volunteer with an organization in their community.
