I wanted to take a moment to thank my incredible PTA Board and all of the wonderful PTA chairs and volunteers who made this year possible. It has been my absolute pleasure to serve as PTA president alongside such a talented and dedicated group. And to all of the LAES families, thank you for bearing with us as we had to deal with and adapt to all of the changes that COVID brought these past few years. It has been a challenge, but I think the PTA and school came out stronger for it. I hope that everyone has a wonderful summer, and I look forward to seeing all of your friendly faces around town soon.
Many thanks,
Regan Morgan
Louise Archer PTA President
Tomorrow is the Big Day! The Sixth Grade Celebration at 7pm at the American Legion (330 Center Street). Please visit our Event Night Information webpage providing logistics about the event. View the map showing where to drop off your students for the event. You cannot park and walk them in. Reminder all parents are invited to the slide show at 9pm. Do not come early we will not let you into the pavilion or the grassy area. See everyone tomorrow.
The LAES PTA funds a portion of the Sixth Grade Celebration, but it is not enough to cover all associated expenses. This means the support of our sponsors is critical to the success of the event. We are so grateful for these sponsors and their support for the students of LAES as they graduate and head to middle school!
Please take a moment to check out all our wonderful sponsors.
Friday is the day the kids have been waiting for their Sixth Grade Celebration. The celebration will be held this Friday, June 3rd from 7-9pm at the American Legion located at 330 Center Street. Be on the lookout for a detailed email this week with lots of details about drop off and pick up and where to and not to park at the American Legion.
We still need lots of help from parents, especially with set up & decorating before the event and clean up after!!! All the SignUpGenius links can be found on the Sixth Grade Celebration webpage.

PTA Secretary
We are looking for a PTA Secretary starting next fall. The job requirements include:
Audit Committee Chair
We also need an Audit Committee Chair for this summer. There is a very minimal time commitment only over the summer, approximately 4-6 hours (including a short meeting to confirm the audit with the Treasurer and two other PTA members). The job requirements include organizing documents and running a meeting over the summer with a four person committee to complete the audit documents.
The following positions are also available:
The Sixth Grade Celebration is less than two weeks away. We are super excited that your students can attend the event on June 3rd. Last week, we sent out two SignUpGenius (SUG) links for items that we need donated or borrowed for the event. The links are also posted on the Sixth Grade Celebration webpage. Please be on the lookout for two more SUG links to be circulated via email and posted to the Sixth Grade Celebration webpage tomorrow (May 23rd). These SUGs will be for food and drink donations and to volunteer. Please remember, this is a student only event and only parents that are volunteering to help/work the event will be permitted to attend.
The week of the event we will be sending out detailed instructions about how to drop off and pick up your student for the celebration on Friday, June 3rd. We will also be providing information about how all parents can come at 9pm (weather permitting) to see the slide show outside at the American Legion!
If you have any questions or want more information, please check the Sixth Grade Celebration webpage.
