This Wednesday, February 1st is our special Dining for Dollars Church Street Event. The following shops are supporting the LAES PTA at the indicated times.

It’s time to show the Louise Archer teachers and staff our appreciation! We will be “Stocking the Fridge” and the Teachers Lounge with snacks for the Teacher Work Day — January 26th!
Please consider signing up for the following spots to show our love to the LAES teachers and staff. If you think we are missing anything essential that you want to donate, please add a comment in the other choice.
The PTA is working with our wonderful LAES staff to collect donations for LAES families in need. Specifically, we are looking for donations of pantry supplies and certain household/toiletry items. The school provided the suggested list below and Grocery Gift Cards are also always welcome. Any donations can be dropped off directly at the LAES front office no later than February 6, 2023. Thank you in advance!!

In the fall, we celebrated all Louise Archer students who participated in the Reflections national PTA arts competition in a ceremony and reception at Louise Archer — highlighting entries in dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts. The entries that received first place rankings in each category and age division advanced to the Fairfax County Council PTA for the next level of judging. At the County level, several Louise Archer students received top honors, including the following:

The January 2023 PTA meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 19th at 8pm via Zoom.

Attention 6th Grade Parents: Make this year a special one and send your student a message in the 2022-23 Louise Archer yearbook! Space is limited, so don’t delay!
Yearbook Boosters Ads for 6th graders will go on SALE Monday, Jan. 16th.
Ads will open to the entire school (K-6 grade) Monday, Jan. 30th – Sunday, Feb. 12th.
The Sunshine Times is a student newspaper intended to be a creative outlet for budding writers, photographers, and artists. All students K-6th grade are encouraged to participate!

Students can write about school/class activities, vacations, local events, sports coverage, travel/book/movie/music/art reviews, interviews, puzzles, Spanish-language columns, poetry, cartoons, advice columns–all ideas are welcome!
Submissions for the first paper are due on January 30th. Kids should have their parents email us a short story, poem, artwork, recipes, reviews, etc. (one item per child) to .
