Nominating Committee Volunteers Needed
Would you like to contribute to the PTA in a meaningful and valuable way with minimal time commitment and no meetings? Do you know other parents at Louise Archer who would like to be involved in the PTA but need a little push? Then you should serve on the Nominating Committee! We need help finding a treasurer and secretary for next year - if you are on the Nominating Committee you get to nominate someone other than yourself. Contact Liz Lucca if you are interested. Also, for those of you who are current chairs or co-chairs, please email Liz if you are planning to stay on in the same role next year. Many thanks!

This week we had the Science Showcase ... thank you to Cristina Black and Payal Ghala for organizing and to Laura Plante, Kathy Cutri, Mrs. Condra, Mrs. Sahai, Shabana Babulal, Rebeccah Graves, Julie Ma, Rakesh Ghala, Ken Black, Grandad Pepe, Irma Hernandez, Hieu Phan, and the many eighth graders who helped. And finally we also had International Night this past weekend. Thank you so much to Sarah Bohn and Nicole Martin for all of their work on this terrific event.
Sports Camp Registration Coming Soon
Summer Sports Camp is returning to Louise Archer! These camps will again be taught by your favorite PE teachers and the Sports & Games LLC staff. We plan to run three sessions and the tentative dates are June 20-22, June 25-29 and August 13-16. We hope to start registration in late April and will pass along more information as it becomes available. Email us with questions.
Yearbook Online Ordering Now Open
Parents can now order 2017-18 yearbooks online using yearbook ID code 2975518. For sixth grade orders, choose "6" for the grade so students will receive their free personalized cover. (This is a surprise for the sixth graders but totally optional.) For questions, contact the yearbook committee.
LA Runners Now Open to 2nd Graders
Spring is in the air and that means LA Runners will be tearing up the track soon. This *free* and fun before-school running program is open to grades 2-6 and starts this Tuesday, March 13. LA Runners meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:10 to 9:00 am on the outdoor track. The program includes short- and long-distance running and running-based games, and is designed to keep students active throughout the session. We are always happy when new runners join the group and it is a great way to start the school day. Registration will continue throughout the spring. Join us any time!
