Annual Cookie Carry, Monday, 12/10
Calling all bakers or professional cookie buyers! The LAES PTA needs your help to provide homemade or store bought holiday cookies, and sweets for our annual Cookie Carry to be held on Monday, December 10th.
The PTA converts the teachers' lounge into a land of sweets and all the staff (including custodians and bus drivers), gets to take home a delicious plate of baked goods to enjoy and/or share with their families. Please visit the Sign Up for complete details. Thank you in advance!
Embry Rucker Community Shelter Milk Donation Program
Louise Archer Junior Optimists run a milk donation program, having developed a partnership with the Cornerstones organization and Embry Rucker Community Shelter over the last five years. During the week, we collect unused cartons of milk in the mini fridge in the LA Café. We enjoy that they do not go to waste and instead we can make a difference to the homeless.
However, in order to support our program we are in need of parent volunteers to sign up and pack up the milks in the LA Cafeteria at any point on Fridays and deliver to Embry Rucker Community Shelter in Reston. Even if you can sign up to do one delivery this school year, it will really help us out!
Toy Drive for INOVA Hospital
This holiday season the Louise Archer Junior Optimists will support and help spread a message of hope to kids at INOVA Children's Hospital with a toy drive. Students and members of the community are welcome to donate new, unwrapped toys in the Louise Archer office between December 3rd and December 20th.
