REFLECTIONS: What My Culture Means to Me
All Louise Archer students are encouraged to participate in the Reflections Arts Contest, a National PTA Program. Students can submit original works in six different categories, outlined below. A student can submit only one entry per category, but submissions in multiple categories are permitted.

All reflection entries must:
1. Not include a name/grade/any identifying text or spoken language in the submission (ex. name on artwork/writing or introduction in a dance video)
2. Include a Title that is not the theme (“What My Culture Means to Me”)
3. Include an Artist Statement between 10 – 100 words

Please note: any guidelines regarding physical submissions do not apply, as our PTA chapter is only accepting digital submissions.
Theme
This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means to Me,” submitted by a student PTSA member as part of National PTA’s annual student theme search. It invites students to reflect on what makes their culture meaningful to them and how it shapes who they are. Awards
Students’ submissions are reviewed by independent third-party judges based on artistic skill and how the theme is interpreted. The entries are judged against peers’ work (grades K-2nd, 3rd-5th, and 6th). Those with the highest scores from our school competition progress to an area competition and possibly to regional, state, and national contests.
We will celebrate all Louise Archer entries and participants in a special reception in December.
